About Opal Pro
Opal Pro gives every text a noble character. The typeface has got long ascenders that rise clearly above the capital letters and a low x-height. Opal’s letters sport inktraps at stroke junctions, which on the one hand creates a cutout feeling. On the other hand it strengthens this image in larger point sizes even further. In total, the letterforms have clear emphasis on their verticals and horizontals; they do not fear the weight on their curves. In addition to the Italic and the bold, the Opal type family includes a script face, whose letters are includes connections, similar to handwriting. On top of that the typeface possesses swash letters for italic and script, small caps, many ligatures and borders & ornaments.

With a little bit of care, designers will be able to create the finest of traditional, elegant work with this family.

Die Opal Pro verleiht jedem Text einen edlen Charakter. Sie hat hohe Oberlängen, die die Versalien klar überragen, und eine geringe x-Höhe. Kleine Einkerbungen bei aufeinander treffenden Strichen, unterstützen einerseits den geschnitzten Charakter und andererseits machen sie die Opal Pro in höheren Punktgrößen noch interessanter. Die Gesamtform der Buchstaben hat eine klare Betonungen auf den Vertikalen und Horizontalen und keine Angst vor ausladenden Bögen. Neben dem Kursiv- und dem Boldschnitt besitzt die Opal Pro als Besonderheit einen Scriptschnitt, bei dem die Buchstaben wie bei einer Schreibschrift verbunden sind.
